Each event needed an opening. Once everyone in the theatre had taken their seats and the lights dimmed, the welcome video was the first thing they saw, so it had to set the tone for the whole day.

Welcome videos
TEDx Victoria is presented by Redbrick. I made the welcome video for each of its first three events: “It's up to us” in 2024, “Ripples” in 2025, and “Uncharted” in 2026. Most of the footage in “Uncharted” I shot myself; the rest is a mix of AI-generated imagery and a little stock. “Ripples” was assembled mostly from stock video.

For the second event I also filmed and edited the recap.
Outcome
All three welcome videos opened their events and set the tone for the day. The 2025 recap became a keepsake of the day for attendees and speakers, and has since been used to promote the next TEDx Victoria.
